The image, LUNAR GLOW, was taken within Yosemite National Park in 2013 during a full moon. This particular night was one of a few evenings out of the year where the moon creates enough light at a perfect angle to produce a lunar rainbow on Lower Yosemite Falls. This shot was taken an hour before that rare moment. The illumination of the water fall and foreground was produced by the glow of the moon. At a young age I was fascinated with cameras and the image making process. In my development, I became more observant of light and learned to create images that matched my vision. Thirty years later I still feel the need to create and share this vision. I do spend a lot of time looking up, clouds that produce filtered light and shadows that rake across a scene is what draws me to landscape photography. Yosemite and the Sierra Mountains are special places for me, there is no shortage of amazing moments and grand landscapes.
