The image, SOFT LIGHT OF WINTER, was taken in the Sierra Nevada mountain range at Bass Lake. This 5 shot panoramic image image was taken on a very cold, single digit morning just after a large snow storm. The morning light had come up but the mist and cloud cover had produced a warm soft glow that illuminated the lake. More examples of my work can be found on line at bonafoto.com.

At a young age I was fascinated with cameras and the image making process. In my development, I became more observant of light and learned to create images that matched my vision. Thirty years later I still feel the need to create and share this vision. I do spend a lot of time looking up, clouds that produce filtered light and shadows that rake across a scene is what draws me to landscape photography. Yosemite and the Sierra Mountains are special places for me, there is no shortage of amazing moments and grand landscapes.
