Taking advantage of what mother nature brings. The clearing storm not only revealed a dramatic sky but a downed dogwood branch which I incorporated into my image. I absolutely agree with keeping integrity when shooting landscape. Practicing leaving no trace is a must for photographers to ensure the beauty for others to enjoy. At a young age I was fascinated with cameras and the image making process. In my development, I became more observant of light and learned to create images that matched my vision. Thirty years later I still feel the need to create and share this vision. I do spend a lot of time looking up, clouds that produce filtered light and shadows that rake across a scene is what draws me to landscape photography. Yosemite and the Sierra Mountains are special places for me, there is no shortage of amazing moments and grand landscapes.
