The image, LAVA FLOW, was taken within Yosemite National Park in 2012 during the annual "Horsetail Fall" phenomenon. This particular event happens during the last two weeks of February on a small waterfall located on the face of El Capitan. The setting sun hits this particular water fall, weather permitting, to produce an orange/red glow on the water. This image can also be purchased unframed as a print in various sizes. At a young age I was fascinated with cameras and the image making process. In my development, I became more observant of light and learned to create images that matched my vision. Thirty years later I still feel the need to create and share this vision. I do spend a lot of time looking up, clouds that produce filtered light and shadows that rake across a scene is what draws me to landscape photography. Yosemite and the Sierra Mountains are special places for me, there is no shortage of amazing moments and grand landscapes.
