Sunlight on waterfalls are always a challenge. The harsh light unfortunately washes out the details of the waterfall. This scene had the benefit of filtered light from some fantastic morning clouds and mist. This is Bridalvail Fall in Yosemite National Park.

At a young age I was fascinated with cameras and the image making process. In my development, I became more observant of light and learned to create images that matched my vision. Thirty years later I still feel the need to create and share this vision. I do spend a lot of time looking up, clouds that produce filtered light and shadows that rake across a scene is what draws me to landscape photography. Yosemite and the Sierra Mountains are special places for me, there is no shortage of amazing moments and grand landscapes.
