Artist's Description
The image, WINTER'S DAY BREAK, was taken in the Sierra Nevada mountain range at Bass Lake. This particular image was taken on a very cold, single digit morning just after a large snow storm. Ice had formed on the lake and the storm had left hundreds of small balls of snow scattered on the ice. The explosion of color at sunrise was an added bonus, it was a fantastic moment. The vibrant colors in this image will print well in metal or metallic print for added depth. More examples of my work can be found on line at bonafoto.com.
About Anthony Michael Bonafede
At a young age I was fascinated with cameras and the image making process. In my development, I became more observant of light and learned to create images that matched my vision. Thirty years later I still feel the need to create and share this vision. I do spend a lot of time looking up, clouds that produce filtered light and shadows that rake across a scene is what draws me to landscape photography. Yosemite and the Sierra Mountains are special places for me, there is no shortage of amazing moments and grand landscapes.
